Clare Foges

Clare Foges was the speechwriter for David Cameron from 2009 to after the 2015 general election.[1] She is praised with drafting his much anticipated speech on Europe in January 2013.
As Cameron's speechwriter Foges was paid an annual salary of £70,000. [2]
Background
Foges attained a Master's degree in Poetry before going on to work in the Westminster office of John Hayes (MP for South Holland and The Deepings) in 2006. She went on to work full-time on Boris Johnson’s mayoral campaign. [3]
Foges went to a comprehensive school, gaining a first in English at Southampton University before studying for her Masters in Poetry at Bristol. [4]
