Oliver Dowden was appointed deputy chief of staff to the UK Prime Minister David Cameron in 2012. Oliver has recently been selected as the Conservative candidate in Hertsmere. [1]
Background
Dowden studied law at Cambridge. In 2004 joined the Conservative Research Department. He left the Tories in 2007 to work for the PR company Hill & Knowlton but returned to the party to work alongside Andy Coulson in early 2009.[2]
