Funding in Israel
- 2024 grants £489,295: UK £171,857; Israel £310,538; rest of world £6,900. Israel grants include ITEC £48,011, Kaima £26,250, Micha – Haifa and the North £21,300, Eliya £16,830, Rishon Lezion from Sobell £15,750, Talpiot £9,772, Beit Uri £9,390, Netanya Foundation £7,233 and Haifa Rape Crisis Center £5,667 (PDF p.26–27). JCD committed £120,000 with UJIA to rebuild a kindergarten garden at Kibbutz Be'eri (PDF p.7).[2]
Israeli partners
ITEC; Kaima; Micha; Eliya; Beit Uri; Netanya Foundation; Haifa Rape Crisis Center; UJIA.[2]
Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF
Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.
| Finding | Confidence |
|---|---|
| The places named – Haifa, Rishon Lezion, Netanya and Kibbutz Be'eri – lie inside the 1949 armistice line; no activity beyond it is stated.[2] | Low |
Support for the IDF: No IDF or military funding is stated.[2]
Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[3] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[4][5][6][7] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[8]
- Sanctions-related decision. The report says JCD did not make grants to projects in Belarus because of sanctions (PDF p.7).[2]
- Related party. Note 25 records a 2023 grant of £5,000 to JCoSS, of which Stephen Moss CBE is a trustee, and trustee donations of £40,576 in 2024.[2]
Other registers and records
Scotland and Northern Ireland
No entry was found on the Scottish Charity Register for this charity (full register download of 14 October 2026 searched by name).[9] No entry was found on the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland register (API name searches returned zero results).[10]
The Gazette
The only Gazette notice returned for "Jewish Child's Day" is a page of the 2012 New Year Honours supplement (29 December 2012), which pre-dates this CIO (registered 2021) and was not examined further; no insolvency or winding-up notice was found.[11]
Grants recorded by 360Giving
No grants received or made by this charity are recorded in 360Giving data.[12]
Sanctions screening
The charity's name, its current register trustees, trustees named on archived register pages, trustees and officers named in the accounts read for this profile and (for charitable companies) its Companies House officers were screened against the UK Sanctions List and the OFSI Consolidated List. No match was found. Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor (UK sanctions ID RUS1127) does not appear among this charity's trustees or officers.[13]
Land and property
The register records that the charity owns and/or leases land or property.[1] No title registers were purchased; the HM Land Registry interactive search blocked automated access.[14] Candidate titles and addresses (CCOD dataset and register/accounts data):[15]
- Floor 1, Elscot House, Arcadia Avenue, London N3 2JU – leased office – Accounts note 24 (lease assigned to the CIO on 17 December 2021); a CIO has no company number, so no CCOD match is possible (source: accounts)
Parliament
Hansard searches for 'Jewish Child's Day', 'Jewish Childs Day' returned 0 contributions in total.[16]
Web archive
- jcd.uk.com: 19 yearly captures, first 2007-09-15, last 2026-01-06.[17]
