John Armitage is the co-founder of the hedge fund Egerton Capital, which he set up in 1994 with William Bollinger. Bollinger, who was chief executive, retired in 2005. Today Egerton holds around $8.7 billion in assets. [1]
In 2016 Armitage was a donor to the lead 'remain' campaign group, Britain Stronger in Europe. [2]
