Egerton Capital is a privately owned hedge fund co-founded by John Armitage and William Bollinger in 1994. The two men previously worked together at Morgan Grenfell.

Armitage was a donor to the pro-European Union 'remain' campaign in 2016.

Activities

Egerton specialises in European equities and, unlike many hedge funds, focuses on undervalued companies rather than using complicated derivatives, an approach that according to the Telegraph in February 2001 'has consistently produced an impressive 30 per cent compound annual growth'. [1]
