The Swedish Free Press Society is an offshoot of the Free Press Society, originally founded in Denmark.
History
According to the British organisation Hope Not Hate, the organisation was founded on 31 January 2012 at a meeting in Malmo attended by around 100 people.
Speakers at the launch included founder Ingrid Carlqvist and fellow Swede Gunnar Sandelin, Hans Rustad from Norway, and Mikael Jalving and Lars Hedegaard from Denmark (the latter the founder of the original Danish Free Press Society and the International Free Press Society.[1]
Also present was Swedish artist Lars Vilks.[1]
