Karan Bilimoria is the founder of Cobra Beer and chairman of Cobra Beer Partnership Limited.
He became a crossbench member of the House of Lords on 24 July 2006.[1]
Career
Bilimoria founded Cobra Beer in 1989 and is currently the chairman of the Cobra Beer Partnership Limited and of Molson Coors Cobra India - both ventures with the global brewers Molson Coors.[2]
He is the founding chairman of the UK India Business Council; the chancellor of Birmingham University; and a founding member of the Prime Minister of India's Global Advisory Council.[3]
Support for the Conservatives
On the 1 April 2015 Bilimoria was one of the 103 business leaders who wrote to the telegraph praising the Conservative's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[4]
