Stephen Doughty is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Cardiff South and Penarth since a 2012.
Doughty is a former senior policy adviser to Douglas Alexander and the Department for International Development in the previous Labour Government. He focused on poverty, development, trade and humanitarian affairs. In that role he is said to have 'played his part in responding to international disasters like the Haiti earthquake, as well as pushing to help make healthcare and education free for some of the world’s poorest people.'
