Danny Alexander is the Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
Alexander was appointed Secretary of State for Scotland in David Cameron's first cabinet.[1] He subsequently moved to the Treasury following the resignation of David Laws as Chief Secretary on 29 May 2010.[2]
Views on fracking
Alexander has said he believes shale gas "will be a bigger boom than North Sea oil" [3]

- Former SPad Julia Goldsworthy joined lobbying firm as a senior advisor in May 2014 after four years of working with Alexander.
