Jimmy McLoughlin is the head of external affairs at the Institute of Directors. He has previously worked at Fleishman-Hillard and Bell Pottinger. [1]

In August 2016, McLoughlin was hired as a special adviser in Downing Street, having worked on Theresa May's leadership campaign. [2]

He is the son of Patrick McLoughlin, chairman of the Conservative Party.
