Corin Taylor is a director at the oil and gas industry's UK Onshore Operators Group. He is a former economic adviser to the Institute of Directors (IoD) and was research director of the Taxpayers Alliance think tank for several years.[1] and a senior policy adviser at the Institute of Directors.

In 2013 Taylor authored a report for the IoD on the prospects for shale gas exploration in the UK, which was sponsored by fracking firm Cuadrilla Resources.
In October 2013 Taylor was appointed head of communications research at oil and gas production and power generation company Centrica Energy, [2] which bought 25 per cent of fracking firm Cuadrilla Resources that same year.
In 2014 Taylor was seconded to UKOOG as a senior adviser UKOOG.
