Simon Bishop is a special adviser for Justine Greening, who was appointed Education Secretary in July 2016.
Bishop was formerly Greening's special adviser in the Department for International Development, when she was secretary of state for international development. [1]
For his special adviser role to Mrs Greening, Bishop is paid an annual salary of £74,000. [2]
Background
Previous roles include, trustee to Trade out of Poverty, trustee to Project Harar, strategy adviser to The Prince's Charities, director of market development at the United Nations Foundation (UNF), head of policy communications at Shell Foundation as well as being a Midwest reporter at the BBC in Chicago.
