David Lidington has been the Conservative Party MP for Aylesbury since, and in 2015 he retained his seat with a majority of 17,158. [1]
He was appointed as the Leader of the House of Commons by new Prime Minister Theresa May on 14 July 2016. [2]
Prior to the appointment, Lidington was minister of state at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, a role that he had held since 2010. [3] His remit concerns issues surrounding Europe and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation(NATO).[4]
