Sir Erich Reich is a trustee of Manna, a British charity that provides funds to Meir Panim, an Israel-based charity which provides aid to poor Israelis.[1] As well as operating within Israel proper the charity also operates in the occupied West Bank. The organisation manages employment centres for Haredi Jews.[2] These centers are known as 'Mafteach Centers' and are funded by the Israeli state and the Tevet Employment Initiative of the Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.[2] There is one such center in the West Bank settlement Beitar Illit and plans to establish another in the settlement in Modi'in Illit.[2] [3]
Reich is an Austrian-born entrepreneur based in London. Reich’s parents were murdered in the Nazi holocaust. He arrived in England as part of the Kindertransport later immigrating to Israel in 1948.[4]
