Andrew Tyrie is the Conservative MP for Chichester.

He has been the Chair of the influential Treasury Select Committee since 2010.[1]

Changes mind on fracking

Tyrie has expressed strong support for fracking yet is preparing to oppose it in his own constituency in what could be a test case for shale exploration in national parks reports The Times newspaper.

Tyrie has told constituents he is “very unlikely” to support an application by Celtique Energy to drill an exploratory well in Fernhurst, West Sussex [2] (near the South Downs National Park).
