The foundation 'defends free speech and a free society through the critical examination of ideas, sponsoring debates and related activities in the New York area. - Nicole Gray Conchar From circa 2001: 'Prior to relocating to the United Kingdom in 2003, Nicole was founding Executive Director of the Donald & Paula Smith Family Foundation [sometimes called the Smith Family Foundation]. The mission of the Foundation is to defend free speech and a free society. This is achieved through the critical examination of ideas and the sponsoring of public policy debates and related activities in the New York City area.[3] Gray Conchar went on to joint Market House International the PR firm which ran the Stockholm Network of free market think tanks between 2003 and 2006.
