Ryan Shorthouse is the founder and director of Conservative leaning think tank Bright Blue and an associate of lobbyists Lodestone Communications. He is also a former policy adviser to the Conservative Party.

Career
Shorthouse has worked for a number of think tanks, as a political secretary to the Bow Group, research fellow at the Social Market Foundation and currently as the founder and director of Bright Blue.
From 2007 to 2010 he was a policy adviser to the Conservative Party.
Shorthouse has written opinion pieces on politics and policy for a number of publications, including The Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The Observer, The Spectator, The New Statesman, Prospect, Standpoint, Total Politics and The Yorkshire Post.[1]
