Sir Robert Fry is a former Royal Marine who served as the senior British representative in Iraq, he is now chairman of Albany Associates and McKinney Rogers.

Career

Robert Fry joined the Royal Marines in 1973, holding roles such as director naval staff in Britain’s Ministry of Defence, commandant general of the Royal Marines and Ministry of Defence senior British representative in Iraq.[1]

After retiring from the Marines in 2007, Fry was appointed CEO of Hewlett Packard’s defence and security business[2] and vice president and managing director of EDS Defence. His role with EDS Defence was approved by ACOBA "subject to the conditions that he does not take up the appointment until after his last day of service and, for 12 months from that same date, he should not be personally involved in lobbying MOD Ministers or officials on EDS’ behalf".[3]

In 2010 he was appointed chairman of the McKinney Rogers Group of companies and in 2011 chairman of Albany Associates.[2]
