Controversies and conflicts

  • Purchase of The Knightland Foundation's properties: The two properties bought on 9 May 2025 had belonged to The Knightland Foundation (charity 1143110, company 07535303). The charity's charges over them were satisfied on 16 May 2025, and its accounts for the year ending 31 January 2025 state only that "Post year end the charity sold two of its commercial properties in order to repay the bank loan".[8]
  • Directors' earlier roles at the charity: Companies House records a Jacob Friedman (born January 1975, American) as a director of The Knightland Foundation from 18 February 2011 to 3 November 2023 and as its person with significant control until 7 April 2021, and a Raechel Friedman (born December 1974, British) as a director from 18 February 2011 to 21 December 2017.[9] The match is by name, birth month and year and nationality, not by officer ID: Jacob Friedman holds more than one Companies House officer ID, and the Urban Capital Assets appointment uses a different ID from the Knightland one.[2]
