Chloe Elise Pemberton Bourke (usually known as Chloe Squires[1]) (Date of birth October 1977) is a British intelligence officer. From 2021 until the latter half of September 2015 she was director General of the Homeland Security Group in the Home Office.
An official biographical notes states that:
- Prior to this appointment, she was Director National Security in the Home Office and led on a range of national security issues including:
- aspects of counter-terrorism
- the domestic response to hostile state activity
- implementation of the UK’s Investigatory Powers Act and associated oversight mechanisms
- the operational relationship with MI5
- the use of national security related immigration and disruption powers[2]
