Ruwan Kodikara is senior manager of corporate communications at Amazon in the UK.
Previously he worked for several lobbying agencies, most recent Quiller Consultants and did a five-month stint as head of media and brand to former deputy prime minister Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats in the run-up to the 2015 UK general election.

Career
Kodikara first job was as a press assistant for the Liberal Democrats from 2000-2001.
He then joined PR company Bell Pottinger Communications and Chime Communications as a one year graduate trainee in 2004. His next role was as senior account executive at Bell Pottinger Communications between June 2005 and September 2007 and then as an account director at Tetra Strategy until July 2012.
In December 2013 he was briefly appointed associate director at MHP Communications.[1] but moved to Quiller Consultants in January 2014 as a senior adviser. .[2]
In January 2015, in the build up to the 2015 general election, he was hired as head of media and brand for the deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg.[3]
Kodikara has worked for the Liberal Democrats press office on three election campaigns and is chair of the party’s local organisation in Kingston and Surbiton.[2]
