Peter Aldous has been the Conservative MP for Waveney since 2010.[1] He was re-elected in 2015 after increasing his majority from 769 to 2,408.[2]
Before entering Parliament, Aldous helped look after the family pig and arable farm outside Halesworth and worked as a Chartered Surveyor in Norwich and Ipswich. He is a former Waveney District Councillor and a Suffolk County Councillor, where he was Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group.[3]
