TES Global is a digital education firm. It is owned by TPG Capital.
Business
Formerly known as TSL Education, the company publishes TES (formerly known as the Times Educational Supplement), a weekly UK publication aimed primarily at school teachers in the UK.
TES Global is a leading player in teacher recruitment. However, its value lies in its 3.6m million registered users – mainly teachers – who have long used TES as a platform to freely share classroom resources. According to TES, more than 4.9 million resources are downloaded from the TES websites a week. In February 2015, TES made this into an online marketplace, where teachers could buy and sell resources they had created.
