Karel van Oordt was the co-founder of Christians for Israel a Christian Zionist organisation based in the Netherlands.[1] Reportedly in 1979 he sold his family business and used the funds to found Christians for Israel and the Israel Products Centre.[1] He died in April 2013.
In January 2011 van Oordt was the recipient of an an award from the Christian Allies Caucus of the Israeli Knesset in conjunction with the World Jewish Congress and the Israeli Tourism Ministry. The event was held at Jerusalem's Inbal Hotel under the event name 'Night to Honor Our Christian Allies'.[2]
In 2008 he received the Scopus Award from the Hebrew University.[3]
