Amit Bar Giora is the former director of the Community Security Group in Victoria, Australia.[1]
From 1995 to 1997, Bar Giora served in the Israel Defence Forces, becoming a company commander with the rank of lieutenant. From 1998 to 2008, according to his LinkedIn profile, he served in the Israeli security service, presumably a reference to Shin Bet. His roles included: security officer for El-Al, Security Officer for Diplomatic Missions and Head of Security for diplomatic missions such as the Israeli embassies in Athens, Paris and Amman. He also worked in the Israeli Consulate in Shanghai and the Israeli Dignitary Protection Unit.[2]
