James Tooley is the director of the E.G. West Centre at Newcastle University and a member of the academic advisory board of the Taxpayers' Alliance.[1] He has also been the professor of education policy at Newcastle University since 1998. According to the copy of his C.V. held by Newcastle University he is also an advisor to Reform, Civitas, the Institute of Economic Affairs, and the Globalisation Institute.[2]
