Until an earlier year, investment property was held through Wakefield Investments (UK) Limited as bare trustee. That investment was sold and the company dissolved.[5]

Controversies and regulatory action

  • No CCNI statutory inquiry report or Gazette insolvency notice naming the charity was found. The Gazette results are routine Belfast Gazette filing-list entries.[7]
  • Registered in Northern Ireland, run from London. All the trustees, the public contact address, the examiner and the subsidiary are in north London; the only link to Northern Ireland is a registered office with Belfast solicitors.[1][3][2]
  • Most grants unnamed. £621,000 of the £960,000 granted in 2025 (65%) went to recipients that are not named.[3]
  • Property investment. Part of the assets is held through property companies: the wholly owned Wharf Properties Limited, whose directors are two of the trustees, and Chester Beech Limited, which is controlled (75% or more) by the SF Foundation and has trustee Joel Gross as its director.[3][6]
