Yaniv Ofek
Yaniv Ofek is an associate fellow at the Henry Jackson Society, specialising in the Middle East. He is also a research fellow at the Institute for Policy and Strategy of the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy, at the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya.[1]
Ofek is a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Law School as well as the School of Middle Eastern History and Islam. He holds an M.A. degree in Security and Diplomacy Studies from Tel Aviv University (2007).[2] Ofek studied in the UK in 2008/2009 for an MPhil/PhD in International Politics/International Relations with a British Council Chevening Scholarship.[3]
Ofek served on the Israeli National Security Council from 2004-2005.[4] He worked on a number of policy planning teams, including a team which devised a security fence surrounding the city of Jersualem.[5]
