The Wolifson family was a small part of the larger Woolfson family mainly based in Glasgow and with a slight spelling variation to their name.

  • 1938 - The Wolifson's ran a guest house in Ayr in the 1930s and 40s called 'Aryeh House'. It was opened in 1938 and advertised under the names of the mother and daughter team of Mrs E. Sless and Mrs F. Wolifson.[1]
  • 1944 - In 1944 they advertised a 'FETE! In Aid of the Jewish National Fund Tuesday, 18th July TEA at 4 p.m. — AT —— WOLIFSON’S “ ARYEH HOUSE,” 21 MILLER ROAD, AYR'.[2]
  • 1972 - Export buyer of Knitwear, all classes, would like to hear from knitters able to offer regular supplies. WOLIFSON Picketlaw, Eaglesham, Glasgow.[3]
