Verint Systems (Nasdaq: VRNT) is a software company that, after February 2021, presents itself as a pure-play customer-engagement vendor. On 1 February 2021 Verint completed the spin-off of Cognyte Software Ltd., its former Cyber Intelligence Solutions business; Cognyte began regular-way Nasdaq trading on 2 February 2021 under CGNT, with Verint shareholders receiving one Cognyte share per Verint share.[1]
Globes notes that Verint itself had earlier been split from Comverse Technology, and that shareholder pressure drove the later security-business separation into Cognyte.[2]
Leadership
A SourceSecurity biography states that Dan Bodner, Verint's long-time chief executive, "From 1981 through 1985 ... served in the Israeli Defense Force in an engineering capacity."[3]
