Registration and roll

GIAS classifies the school as an “other independent school”, boys only, no boarders, Jewish ethos, religious character “None”. Age-range fields on government sites are inconsistent (GIAS 5–7; Ofsted 2024 report 6–12; September 2025 monitoring visit 7–12). Capacity is given as 140. Pupil numbers in official sources have stood above that figure (160 on the Ofsted provider page; 185 on roll in May 2024; 129 in the September 2025 monitoring visit).[1][2][3]

The 2024 inspection stated that Jewish studies occupy the morning and the secular curriculum is delivered for one and a half hours in the afternoon.[2]

Ofsted

Ofsted has judged overall effectiveness Inadequate at successive standard inspections, including December 2015, February 2018, October 2019, July 2022 and 14–16 May 2024.[5] In May 2024 quality of education and leadership and management were Inadequate; behaviour and attitudes and personal development were Good.[2] A progress monitoring inspection on 9 September 2025 found that the school still did not meet all of the independent school standards that were checked.[3]
