Susan Rice
Susan Rice, became Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Scotland in August 2000, the first woman to head a UK clearing bank.
- She was previously Managing Director, Personal Banking at Bank of Scotland, and at Natwest Bancorp in the U.S. She was a member of HM Treasury’s Policy Action Team on access to financial services.
- She is a director of Lloyds TSB Scotland and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Susan chairs the board of the Edinburgh International Book Festival, is also a member of the Foresight Sub-Committee on Retail Finance, on the board of Scottish Business in the Community, and a member of the Scottish Advisory Task Force on the New Deal.
- Born and brought up in the United States, she lives in Aberdeen with her husband, Duncan, where she is a Burgess of Guild of the City, and serves on the Advisory Board of Aberdeen Common Purpose. Also a board member of The Charity Bank, run by the Charities Aid Foundation.[1]
