State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest state-owned banking and financial services company in India. Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Mumbai, the bank is "actively involved since 1973 in non-profit activity called Community Services Banking."[1]

- Arun Ramanathan, a director since January 2008, is Secretary of the Department of Financial Services at the Indian Ministry of Finance.[2]
