Rotate is an Israeli cyber-security company founded in 2023 by Ro'ee Margalit (CEO) and Avidan Barak (CTO). Ctech describes its product as a platform "designed to help Managed Service Providers (MSPs) centrally manage security across fragmented digital work environments". Check Point Software Technologies announced in February 2026 that it was acquiring the company and would use it as the basis of a new "Workspace Security" division.[1]

Founders

According to Ctech, Margalit and Barak are "veterans of Israel’s Unit 8200 and the Prime Minister’s Office". It reported that Margalit was an early employee at Bonobo AI and that Barak had held senior roles at Datto and Kaseya.[1] Rotate also appears on the alumni list of the 8200 EISP accelerator run by the 8200 Alumni Association, which records it as "Rotate (Acquired by Check Point)".[2]

Funding and acquisition

Ctech reported that Rotate raised about $8 million from investors including at.inc, Treasury, UpWest, G20 and Torch. Check Point announced the purchase together with the acquisitions of two other Israeli start-ups, Cyclops and Cyata. Check Point chief executive Nadav Zafrir said: "This acquisition will allow us to accelerate toward a consolidated, unified ability to work with MSPs".[1]
