People in Need is a contractor to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) under the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF). It is a named supplier on Lot 1 of the CSSF Framework Agreement 2023–27.[1] FCO and FCDO payments to it over £25,000 recorded in published departmental spending data total about £4,739,103; these figures cover all FCO/FCDO (and, after September 2020, former Department for International Development) programmes and are not limited to the CSSF.[2]
CSSF and other UK government work
People in Need (PIN) says its Amplifying Local Voices for Equitable Development (ALVED) project in south Serbia is "supported by the UK Government's Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF)". PIN implements the project with Peaceful Change Initiative and Građanske inicijative in Bujanovac, Lebane and Vranje, and says it has run since September 2020.[3] PIN also lists the CSSF as donor of a three-year project, Mostar – Spaces to Activate and Rejuvenate (2021–23), in Bosnia and Herzegovina.[4] A GOV.UK list of UK programme assistance to Ukraine for 2019–20 records a PIN project in conflict-affected eastern Ukraine, including non-government-controlled Luhansk, funded from "DFID humanitarian" rather than the CSSF.[5]
