Fake cover firm used by Black Cube against Evolution AB

Parvus Capital was not a real investment firm. It was a cover name used by operatives of the Israeli private intelligence firm Black Cube when they approached staff of the Swedish live-casino supplier Evolution AB during an investigation commissioned by Playtech. Searchers who find the name should treat it as a flag: there was no genuine Parvus Capital behind the approaches.[1]
The parent dispute — fees, regulators and New Jersey litigation — is on Playtech–Evolution affair.
Use against Evolution
According to an affidavit by Evolution's former US commercial director Jeff Millar, reported by the Financial Times on 3 November 2025, Black Cube operatives secured a meeting with him by claiming to work for Parvus Capital. They constructed "a fake website, fake email addresses, and fake identities".[1]
The same FT account says Black Cube was hired by Playtech in 2021 to investigate whether Evolution was operating in prohibited markets, and that operatives approached Evolution executives while posing as gambling-industry investors or prospective business operators. The investigation, the FT reported, ran from 2021 to 2024.[1] Evolution dates the hire to December 2020 and says senior Playtech executives, including chief executive Mor Weizer, communicated with Black Cube about the work.[2]
In a deposition filed by Evolution in New Jersey, Black Cube co-founder Avi Yanus set out Playtech's fee schedule under the engagement. Success fees followed the delivery of evidence, a Bloomberg story on a 2021 regulatory complaint, and the opening of a New Jersey inquiry. Evolution put the total paid to Black Cube at more than £1.8 million.[1][2][3] Detail of the payments is on Playtech–Evolution affair and Evolution AB.
Not a real company
No company register entry, real directors or genuine trading activity for Parvus Capital is set out in the sources used for this page. The name appears only as a Black Cube cover in the Playtech–Evolution case. A parallel cover name used in Slovenia, Stockard Capital, is likewise fictitious; see Black Cube in Slovenia.
