Nigel Griffiths
Nigel Griffiths (born 20 May 1955, Glasgow) is a Labour MP for Edinburgh South. He was Deputy Leader of the House of Commons until 2007, and before that has held a number of government positions, including Minister for Construction, Minister for Competition and Consumer Affairs, Minister for Coal Health Compensation, Minister for Small Businesses and Minister for Enterprise.[1]
He resigned from Government in March 2007 over his opposition to funding new Trident nuclear submarines.[2]

- Non-executive Director, (remunerated)[3] Jabbar Group, Glasgow, 2007-2010 - Global business company focusing on technology, architecture, master planning, city developers, corporate and retail travel, human resource management, media, leisure and international property investment[4] Approved by ACOBA subject to "12 months after leaving office, he should not be personally involved in lobbying the Government on behalf of the Jabbar Group"[5][6]
- Non-executive,[7] Public Interest Foundation - associated charitable foundation. Role was approved by ACOBA, who, "saw no difficulty, provided he did not become personally involved in lobbying the Government for 12 months after leaving office."[5] The precise wording in Griffiths register of interests is 'Remunerated directorships: The Jabbar Group and Public Interest Foundation (non-executive); an infrastructure company and associated charitable foundation.'[8] This is odd as Griffiths is not registered as a director of Public Interest foundation and in its accounts of February 2008 it declares that it did no business and has no resources.[9]
