NanoLock Security was an Israeli cyber-security company that sold device-level protection for connected equipment such as smart meters and industrial systems. According to a 2017 press release from its investor, the Awz Homeland Security Fund, it "was founded in 2016 by Eran Fine, CEO and Shlomo Oren, Chairman".[1] In 2022 former Mossad director Tamir Pardo joined its advisory board.[2] Ctech reported in February 2025 that the company had collapsed and was seeking a court-appointed trustee.[3]

Mossad link

Ctech reported in May 2022 that "Israeli cybersecurity company NanoLock Security has added the former Director of Mossad, Tamir Pardo, to its Advisory Board". It said Pardo, "who headed Israel’s National Intelligence Agency from 2011 to 2016, will be advising CEO Eran Fine and the company’s senior management".[2]

The founders themselves are not described as intelligence veterans. A 2021 Ctech profile called chief executive Eran Fine a "film studies graduate, and not a military technology unit alum".[4]

Collapse and sale

Ctech's February 2025 report said the company, "once backed by $27 million in funding", blamed "war-related financial strain and cash flow crisis".[3] In January 2026 SecurityBrief reported that OTOPIQ Security had launched "following its acquisition of NanoLock Security", with financial backing from Awz Ventures, and that it was building on technology developed at NanoLock.[5]
