Nachman Tal
Nachman Tal is Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies. He is a former senior official of the General Security Service (GSS).[1]
Education
Nachman Tal received a Ph.D. from the Land of Israel Studies Department, University of Haifa.[2]
Career History

- Nachman Tal, a former senior official of the General Security Service (GSS), joined the Jaffee Center research staff in 1996 following his retirement from the GSS. He dealt with Arab issues for 40 years within the framework of his service in the GSS, including as head of the GSS Arab section, and as GSS commander of the Gaza Strip and Sinai district. Dr. Tal was a member of the Israeli delegation to the 1991 Madrid Conference, took part in the negotiations with the Palestinian-Jordanian delegation in 1992, and was a member of the Israeli delegation to the peace talks with the Jordanians, which led to the peace agreement that was signed in October 1994.[1]
