The Merage Foundations is an American consortium of charitable foundations which provide grants and administer grant funded operations in Israel. The consortium comprises the following individual foundations which represent three generations of the Merage family:

The David and Laura Merage Foundation (established 2002)
The Andre and Katherine Merage Foundation (established 2002)
The Jonathan Merage Foundation
The Sabrina Merage Foundation (established 2008) [1]

The individual foundations themselves provide funding to a subsidiary tier of foundations. The Andre and Katherine Merage Foundation and the David and Laura Merage Foundation both support Merage: The Foundation for the Promotion and Development of the Negev. The David and Laura Merage Foundation also supports Early Learning Ventures and the Equitas Foundation. [1]

The About Us page on the Merage Foundations homepage provides the following description of the organisation:

Our philanthropic investments are focused on social change and result in children, families and communities improving the quality and circumstances of their lives. The Merage legacy demonstrates a strong commitment to their communities, their Jewish heritage, and their family. The family has a deep belief in giving back and sharing their strength and resources to improve the lives of others... As venture philanthropists, we engage with our partners and invest our human, financial, and intellectual capital to achieve unparalleled results. The Merage Foundations’ operational platform is modeled on the successful business ventures of our founding family. Their entrepreneurial spirit and management expertise provides a clear road-map for our social investment strategy. [1]

The Andre and Katherine Merage Foundation is a major donor to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces.
