KFW Banking Group is a German government-owned development bank. Founded in 1948, the bank is headquartered in Frankfurt.

Revolving Door

  • Ilse Aigner, German Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[1]
  • Prof. Dr. Kurt Faltlhauser, former Bavarian finance minister, former head of the Bavarian Prime Minister’s Office and former parliamentary secretary of state in the German Federal Finance Ministry, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors since 01 January 2005.[2]
  • Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, German Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, is the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Supervisory Directors since 12 February 2009.[3]
  • Sigmar Gabriel, German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, was a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[4]
  • Peter Jacoby, Minister of Finance of the State of Saarland, was a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[5]
  • Roland Koch, Minister-President of the State of Hesse, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[6]
  • Dr Helmut Linssen, Minister of Finance of the State of North Rhine-Westfalia, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors since 01 January 2008.[7]
  • Hartmut Möllring, Minister of Finance of the State of Lower Saxony, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[8]
  • Matthias Platzeck, Minister-President of the State of Brandenburg, served as a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[9]
  • Peer Steinbrück, German Federal Minister of Finance, served as the Chairman of the Board between 01 January 2009-27 October 2009. He also served as Deputy Chairman of Supervisory Board Directors from 01 January 2006 to 31 December 2008.[10][11]
  • Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[12]
  • Wolfgang Tiefensee, Federal Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[13]
  • Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, is a member of the Board of Supervisory Directors.[14]
