In the news
- Companies House records under the same officer entry (born January 1950) show directorships of Yad Vashem UK Foundation (2012–16) and of CAA Stellar and other Stellar companies, which identifies him as the sports agent Jonathan Barnett. He co-founded the London sports agency Stellar Group in 1994, sold it to ICM Partners in 2020, and was executive chairman of CAA Stellar until he left in February 2024. In 2019 Forbes ranked him the world's most powerful sports agent.[3]
- In July 2025 a woman identified as 'Jane Doe' filed a civil complaint in a US district court in Los Angeles against Barnett, Creative Artists Agency and CAA Stellar, alleging rape, trafficking and coercive control between 2017 and 2023. Barnett denied the allegations; his lawyers said they 'have no basis in reality and are untrue'. In May 2026 the court dismissed the case on forum non conveniens grounds, finding that the English courts were an adequate alternative forum, on condition that the defendants waive jurisdiction and limitation challenges in England. The Telegraph reported that Barnett had confirmed he was under criminal investigation in London. The allegations have not been tested in court.[4]
