John McCluskie

John McCluskie is a retired lawyer who worked as parliamentary counsel to the Scottish Government and Irish Government.
Career
McCluskie started his career as a solicitor, joining the Bar in 1974, becoming a QC in 1990 and was appointed a Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB) in 1999.[1]
McCluskie was the first Scottish parliamentary counsel to the Scottish Government between 1999 and 2006, where he was responsible for the preparation of Government legislation affecting Scotland.[2]
