Major General Jeremy Hywel Thomas (born April 1957) is a former Royal Marines officer. Companies House records "THOMAS, Jeremy Hywel, Major General" as a director of Torchlight (TorchlightGroup Limited, 07672340) from 5 April 2012 to 25 March 2013, and as a former director of the Royal Marines Association – The Royal Marines Charity and the Royal Marines Sports Association.[1]

Military career

The Commando Veterans Archive, citing the London Gazette, records that as a brigadier commanding 3 Commando Brigade he was awarded the DSO for service in Afghanistan from October 2006 to March 2007, leading "a 4000 joint Task Force". It records that he was appointed CB as a major general on 31 December 2011 and Representative Colonel Commandant Royal Marines on 18 May 2012.[2]

His appointment to Torchlight, a security and intelligence consultancy that later received FCO/CSSF work, came shortly after he left senior command.[1]
