Flora Martin PR

Set up by PR guru Flora Martin in 1989, this important Glasgow-based PR company was established in Ashton Lane, just off Byres Road. Martin began with clients McEwan's Lager and James Barr, brought with her from TMA Communication, and went on to represent Bell's Whisky, Glenmorangie, Waverly Vintners, law firm MacLay Murray and Spens and Amey. Employing a predominantly female staff (eight out of nine employees), Martin sold her company to Citigate Communications in 1996 for in excess of £1 million.
