Economic and Social Research Council

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) is, as a non-departmental public body (NDPB), the main social science funding agency in the UK. It was established by Royal Charter in 1965 and receive most of its funding through the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).[1]
