David Ivry

David Ivry has been the president of Boeing Israel since 2003. He has also served as Ambassador of Israel to the United States, first director of the Israeli National Security Council, director-general of the Israel Ministry of Defense, Chairman of Israel Aircraft Industries, Israel Defense Forces deputy chief of staff, and the ninth commander of the Israel Air Force.[1]

Ivry was born in 1934. He earned a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering, Technion University, Haifa, and is a graduate of the IDF Command & Staff College.[1]

From 1977 to 1982, Ivry was head of the Israeli Air Force.[2] From 1978 to 1982, he was a member of the Board of Directors, El Al Israeli Airlines.[1]

From 1986 to 1996, he was Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defence.[2] From 1986 to 1999 he was Chief Israeli Representative to the Israel - U.S. Strategic Dialogue (JPMG). From 1992 to 1999 he served as head of the Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Arms Control & Regional Security. From 1996 to 1999 he served as Principal Assistant to the Israeli Minister of Defense for Strategic Affairs.[1]
