• 1909 - January - A general meeting of the Michael Simons Lodge, No. 128, Order Achei Brith, was held in the Herzl Zionist Institute, last Sunday, Bro. Sol A. Cohen, President, in the Chair. Bro. L Mostytz, representative at Grand Lodge, gave a report of the proceedings of the Grand Lodge Conference held in Birmingham last December, and was accorded a vote of thanks for his services. The annual financial statement was submitted by the Treasurer, Bro.B. Gerber. It showed income £89, expenditure £54, capital $180; and membership 48. Bros. L Mostytz and H Herman, Auditors, having given avery satisfactory report, the balance-sheet was unanimously adopted. the following officers were installed: Bros L Mostytz, President; S. Goldblatt, Treasurer; M. Melliock, Secretary; V. Bernfell, Recording Secretary; H. Kale, M. Gold and I. Medvidoff, Trustees; B Katz, Inside Guardian; I Firestein and G Venetsky, Sick Stewards and Marshalls; M.Abrahamson and A.J. Boston, Auditors; and a Committee of 10.
