Apex Security (also known as Apex) is an Israeli artificial-intelligence security company founded in 2023 by Matan Derman (CEO) and Tomer Avni (CPO). Ctech reported in May 2025 that Tenable was acquiring the "Sam Altman-backed" company for more than $105 million.[1]
Founders
According to Ctech, Matan Derman and Tomer Avni "met during their Unit 8200 service where they served as Lieutenant Colonel and Captain, respectively".[1]
