Anat Sultan-Dadon is an Israeli diplomat who was Consul General of Israel to the Southeastern United States, based at the Consulate General of Israel in Atlanta, from 2019 until July 2025.[1][2] Her mission covered seven states: Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.[1]

Career

According to a University of Alabama biography, Sultan-Dadon joined the Israeli diplomatic service in 2004. She served at Israel's embassies in Cameroon, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia, and in the Foreign Ministry's Euro-Asia and Asia-Pacific divisions. It says that in 2020 she was inducted by Morehouse College into the Martin Luther King Jr. International College of Ministers and Laity.[1]

Consul general in Atlanta

Global Atlanta reported that during her tenure she launched Israel legislative caucuses in Mississippi and Alabama and accompanied Georgia Governor Brian Kemp on an economic mission to Israel in May 2023. After 7 October 2023 the consulate under her leadership screened footage of the Hamas attacks, and she supported the founding of the Christian "Oct. 7 Coalition". She left Atlanta in July 2025.[2] The Alabama-Israel Legislative Caucus was established on 8 May 2024.[1]

Distributed Denial of Secrets published leaked files from the consulate's planning and invitation tools in October 2024; they have not been independently verified. They list her as consul general and head of mission in 2020. They show the consulate in 2020 tracking a campaign by Black faculty at Georgia State University against the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange, and planning outreach to historically Black colleges, churches and lawmakers.
